Flavio Lobato is Principal and Co-­Founder of Ikove Capital Partners, a venture development company founded to pursue early-stage investments with an emphasis on technology commercialization in the Midwest of the United States. Through its proprietary Startup Nursery, in partnership with multiple U.S. research institutions, Ikove identifies and validates developing high-impact technologies, providing capital and commercialization resources to bridge the gap between R&D and VC funded rounds. Flavio is also a Managing Partner of the Startup Nursery Fund (SUN Fund) , created by Ikove Advisory Partners to allow external, strategic investors to co-invest alongside Ikove’s proprietary Nursery and capitalize on exclusive opportunities related to the commercialization of disruptive intellectual property and startup companies.

Flavio is Chairman of the Board of Nikola Labs, a wireless power and energy harvesting company; Circular Wave Drive, focusing on disrupting the global robotics market with the development of key speed reducing technologies; Soliton Technologies, developing advanced motion tracking systems for the mobile VR market; and eLum Technologies, developing life changing technology for the treatment of aneurysms.

Previously, he was an Executive Director at Liongate Capital Management, a $7 billion alternative investment manager based in London and New York. Additionally, Flavio was a Founder, and CIO of Swiss Capital Asset Management in Lugano, managing over $1.5 billion in hedge fund investments for institutional clients. Flavio was a VP at Goldman Sachs & Co. and a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston.

He received his MBA from Harvard Business School with honors, and his undergraduate degree in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami, cum laude. Flavio is an student Advisor to the Harvard Innovation Lab (I-Lab) and Co-Head of Fintech for Harvard Angels of NYC.
